An Employer’s Guide to Integrating Internationally Trained Individuals

  • An Employer’s Guide to Integrating Internationally Trained Individuals

The following blog post was written by Veena Zarour-Murthy, a faculty member at the Centre for Excellence in Immigrant and Intercultural Advancement.

The CEIIA is working on creating a guide for small and medium business employers in Alberta. The guide aims at providing information:

  • to help employers integrate internationally trained individuals (ITIs)
  • on promoting intercultural development within their business
  • about resources available to employers in Alberta

The project is funded by the Government of Alberta, and the CEIIA is working in close partnership with Talent Pool, an employers’ resource and information hub based in Calgary. Talent Pool recently helped the CEIIA in getting together a group of employers to take part in a focus group and a survey. Both the focus group and the survey will help inform the guide.
