Since 2013 Bow Valley College has offered LINC (Langauge Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) classes in Banff at the Wolf and Bear Mall location. This fall, we're excited to offer LINC classes at our new location, the Banff Community High School.
The new classroom is a large, well-equipped room and is filled with natural light. This location allows us to continue offering three part-time LINC classes, for Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 1-6 learners. The 10-week classes start the first week of October and finish in December. In collaboration with ILVARC (Immigrant Language and Vocational Assessment Referral Centre), we'll continue to offer CLB remote placement testing at our Banff classroom on a regular basis.
Holding adult language classes in a high school offers the potential for collaborative projects between Bow Valley College learners and Banff Community High School students and staff. We look forward to exploring these possibilities together.
