The following blog post was written by Tahira Ebrahim, Centre Liaison Officer at the Centre for Excellence in Immigrant and Intercultural Advancement.

The leaves are changing, a chill is in the air, and the streets are now populated once more with school busses. It must be fall. Which means it must also be time for a BVC favourite event: TEDxBowValleyCollege.

Now in its third (that’s right, third!), year, TEDxBowValleyCollege is excited to host yet another cohort of speakers that highlight the diversity of our campus community.

This year’s theme is Divergence, and in keeping with that theme, we as a team are also diverging from our previous format. Here are a few changes to look out for this year:

  1. Our location this year, has changed to N124 theatre. You will find our registration table and activities in the space just outside the theatre.
  2. Our event will now run on November 9 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with doors opening at 11:30 a.m.
  3. Registration is via the Survey Monkey link:

Registration will be open from September 26 to 30. The registration link will also be made available via myCampus and the Student eNewsletter.

For any questions regarding the event, email:

We have more changes in place, but you will have to attend TEDxBowValleyCollege, to experience them all!
