On March 21, our Innovation & Research team from the School of Global Access will participate in Fresh Perspectives. This event is a showcase of research related projects around Bow Valley College. Diane Hardy, Shelagh Lenon, and Glen Cochrane will present the eLearning Toolkit. This Toolkit supports English Language Learning online.
Academic Innovation & Applied Research hosts Fresh Perspectives. The showcase provides a fantastic opportunity to show the tools we've developed based on research conducted from our department.
The eLearning Toolkit grew out of a 2015 research project on Fostering Community Online. From that study, the concept for an eLearning Toolkit was developed to help instructors as they become more familiar with online teaching.
The Toolkit went live in early 2017, and the feedback has been positive. The toolkit focused on easy-to-use design, and that's what people have liked. Now, with Fresh Perspectives, we have an opportunity to let colleagues know about the eLearning Toolkit in a deeper way.
The Toolkit supports teachers with strategies, planning documents, and multi-media resources used in digital environments. Through the Toolkit, we promote strategies and practices learned through research to instructors.
The Fresh Perspectives showcase takes place on March 21, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in room N231. Stop by to learn more about the eLearning Toolkit, and other projects showcased.
