On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, faculty, staff, and administration are invited to the fifth annual TEDxBowValleyCollege. The two-hour speaker series welcomes the College community to a dynamic session with five talks and a musical performance addressing this year's theme, Lagom: Life. Simply. Lagom is a Swedish term that describes a lifestyle designed for balance, simplicity, and sustainability.
Happiness is achieved through sufficiency, rather than over abundance. On a macro scale, lagom encourages a sharing of resources, to ensure all needs are met and limits unnecessary consumption. On a micro scale, a lagom influenced lifestyle is meant to reduce one's stress and improve one's quality of life.
The Intercultural Centre invites you to attend and listen to the wide range of topics and ideas, that are meant to spark conversation and action.
Date: Wednesday, November 21
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: N231, North Campus
TEDxBowValleyCollege is free to attend and open to all College faculty, staff, and students.
