Career Services

We offer a variety of career services to help over 9,500 clients get connected to the workforce and restart their career in Canada. We also offer testing for academic institutions, as well as business and industry certification and assessment.

Directions for Immigrants in Trades and Professional Careers is a no-cost career service centre that helps internationally educated professionals secure professional employment and gain accreditation. We work with professionals in all occupations.

Learn about effective job search strategies, labour market information, licensing processes, and employer expectations.

LINC Career Services

Career coaching to help you get working.

Our career coaches will help you build your resume, practice interview skills, and create a career action plan. You can participate in workshops to help you build job search skills and gain confidence to reach your career goals.

Safety training is available based on your career goals in these areas:

  • Food safety
  • Construction safety
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

To be eligible for this program you must qualify for the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program and have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 3 or higher.

This service is made possible through funding by the Government of Canada.​

Indigenous Awareness: Engaging Diversity and Inclusion

Learn about Indigenous histories and contemporary realities in Canada

This includes relationships to the land, identities, and cultural knowledge. Explore cultural differences and basic Indigenous ways of knowing and being while examining your own worldview with a goal to promote understanding and foster inclusivity.

This is the fourth course in the Intercultural Competencies for Leaders Certificate (non-credit).

The course is 100% online and has a peer-learning focus. Course completion is based on active participation on discussion board forums, and the submission of a final assignment which will consolidate participants’ personal experience during this course. The time commitment is typically twelve hours.
