In a learning-centred classroom, adults with emergent literacy skills need to acquire a better understanding of the language learning process and their own needs/goals in order to become confident and self-directed learners. Adult ESL Literacy instructors have an important role in scaffolding a learning path that encourages learners' independence both inside and outside of the classroom.
In this webinar, participants explored practical ideas on integrating language learning activities that build self-awareness, such as needs assessment, self-evaluation, and learning logs, in an adult ESL Literacy context.
