The School of Global Access developed a series of post-TESL courses to meet the professional development needs of ELL instructors.
This project addresses a need for targeted, in-depth post-TESL professional development that focuses on the skill development of ELL practitioners who are working with newcomers.
The Post TESL Certificate Program focuses on enhancing the instructional skills of ELL practitioners in Alberta. Each four-week course is fully online, facilitated by subject matter experts, and provides the opportunity to connect with practitioners across the province. Course content is designed to increase instructor knowledge and encourages practical application in the ELL classroom.
Those who successfully complete four of the five courses will be eligible for a certificate. Those interested can also complete all five courses as well.
