Supporting Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners in College Career Programs is a self-paced online professional development course for faculty. It was developed in response to a need for support, as expressed by content area instructors, to deal with the growing diversity in classrooms. The aim of the course is to raise an awareness of the challenges culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) learners face in the Canadian academic environment and to provide instructors with strategies to help the learners overcome these challenges, thereby providing an equitable and inclusive education to all our learners.
The course is comprised of ten modules.
The course is currently offered once per trimester for faculty in all career programs at the College.
